How
to schedule an appointment.
What do I bring?
Scheduling an appointment. Just call my office and set up a convenient
time to meet with me. Amy will schedule you for the next available
consultation. Have your calendar/ appointment book when you call.
I can accommodate emergencies and also evening appointments. If
you are disabled or have trouble getting around, I can visit you
at your home. The average consultation time is approximately 30
to 45 minutes.
What
you will need to bring.
I suggest you bring all of your documents, papers, receipts, letters,
notes, and anything you have regarding your case. Some clients do
not have such 'paperwork' as they never thought they would need
it or they can't find it right away. That's OK I really don't need
all the documents as I will not be reading them during our consultation.
I will need to know:
1. If you have paperwork
2. If
you can get it
3. If another party has information.
Also,
you should bring a printout of information the company may have
on a website.
The
most helpful thing you can bring is a hand written (or typed) time
line that tells the story of what happened who was involved, what
was said and who did what.
Example A…On 10/3/99, at 4:00 p.m, I purchased a widget, model X
from the salesman, Mr. John Smith for $ 500.00. On 10/4/99 the widget
did not work. On 10/6/99 I then called Mr. Joe Allen the store manager….
Example B…In the summer of 2000, a store employee convinced me to
buy a special warranty for about $ 500. A couple days later I went
back and spoke to a manager, he was young and had a beard…
Just ask us what you will need to bring when you schedule your consultation.
Most documentation is sent to me after the initial consultation
and after the client decides whether not to retain my services.
