Hi
I'm Laurie Grant. Here's all the details about my legal practice
and credentials.
I
graduated in 1981 from Bridgewater State College with a B.A. in
Theater Arts. After graduation I worked a few years as a staff supervisor
and national make up artist for Clinique Cosmetics. I then started
my own promotional modeling agency covering all of New England.
After ten years in the business I decided to go to law school.
In
October of 1995, I obtained a real estate brokers license and sold
real estate while I attended the part time evening (five year) Juris
Doctorate program at Southern New England School of Law in Dartmouth,
Mass. I graduated with a J.D. (Juris Doctorate) in June of 1998
and became a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association in December
of 1998.
During
law school, I handled several consumer cases for myself and my friends.
I also was a student (intern) and prosecuted cases for the Plymouth
County District Attorney's Office. I was assigned to the really
'important' cases involving persons who: failed to attend jury duty,
failed to return videos, failed to return library books, failed
to license their dog, bounced supermarket checks, and removed the
tags from pillows and mattresses (of course I'm only kidding on
this one!). I worked primarily in the Juvenile Court Department,
which is how I obtained my criminal trial experience.
One
day every month, I volunteer for Legal Services of Cape Cod. I participate
in the Lawyer of the Day program with the Plymouth County Bar Association.
I am also a member of the Plymouth District Bar Association, the
Boston Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the United
States Federal Court in Boston, and the United States Supreme Court.
My
office is located 11 South Park Avenue in Downtown Plymouth, Massachusetts.
(Click on Map and direction to the office.)
I
enjoy rollerblading; golf; performing on stage; arguing in court
(basically the same thing); and going on vacations.
That's
it. If you'd like to know more about me, you can call me at my office)
or click to leave me a message/email.
